Hard work, education, and perseverance.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Tofiq Bolwala grew up in a first-generation American household where hard work, education, and perseverance were foundational values. His parents came to the United States with limited resources but an unwavering commitment to creating greater opportunities for their family. Watching their sacrifice and determination shaped Tofiq’s perspective from an early age and instilled in him a deep appreciation for opportunity, responsibility, and the value of hard work.
Growing up, sports played an important role in shaping his competitive mindset. As a soccer player and lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, Tofiq was naturally drawn to the qualities that define successful teams: preparation, discipline, resilience, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Tofiq attended school in Philadelphia, where he initially pursued a career in the pharmaceutical industry. While his education provided him with a strong professional foundation, he always had an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to eventually build something of his own.
He recognized early, however, that ambition alone would not make him an effective entrepreneur. He needed to learn how to communicate, sell, influence, lead, and ultimately develop people. That realization led him to New York City, where he entered the highly competitive world of sales. It was there that he developed many of the skills that would eventually shape his career as an entrepreneur and business leader.
Today, Tofiq serves as President and CEO of Next Target, leading a growing sales and marketing organization that partners with some of the largest and most recognized companies in the world.
02 · Why business ownership
Complete responsibility for the outcome.
For Tofiq, entrepreneurship has always represented something greater than simply owning a company. It represents the ability to take complete responsibility for an outcome, build something from the ground up, create opportunities for others, and have the freedom to determine how far an organization can grow.
Early in his career, Tofiq discovered that he was motivated by more than his own individual performance. He became increasingly passionate about developing teams, creating systems, solving problems, and helping other people achieve results they may not have believed were possible for themselves. That realization changed the direction of his career.
Rather than simply pursuing the next position, Tofiq wanted to build an organization where performance created opportunity and where ambitious individuals could develop the skills necessary to become leaders themselves. That vision became a driving force behind Next Target.
Today, the company works alongside major brands and organizations to deliver measurable results while continuing to expand its presence across multiple markets. As the company has grown, Tofiq has remained focused on building an organization where professional development and business performance go hand in hand.
His belief is simple: when you invest in people, challenge them, and give them meaningful responsibility, extraordinary growth can follow.
03 · Journey to leadership
Built through experience.
Tofiq did not begin his career as a polished salesperson or experienced business leader. Instead, he deliberately placed himself in environments that required him to develop those skills.

That philosophy has become an important part of the culture at Next Target. Tofiq believes that some of the strongest leaders are developed through real responsibility and real experience. Team members are encouraged to develop communication skills, learn how businesses operate, solve problems, manage people, understand performance, and eventually become capable of leading others.
His goal is not simply to build a larger organization. It is to build an organization filled with capable leaders who can continue expanding what the company is able to accomplish.
04 · His why
It starts with family.
At the foundation of Tofiq’s career is family. Growing up, he watched his parents sacrifice to provide opportunities for him and his younger brother that they themselves did not have. Their example created a sense of responsibility that continues to influence how he approaches both life and business.
One of Tofiq’s greatest motivations has always been to give back to the family that helped shape the person he became. As his career progressed, however, that purpose expanded. Today, his “why” also includes the people he has the opportunity to lead.
Few things are more meaningful to him than watching someone enter the organization with ambition and potential, develop confidence and leadership skills, take on greater responsibility, and ultimately accomplish things they once considered out of reach. That is the legacy Tofiq wants to build.
Success, in his view, is not measured solely by revenue, locations, clients, or recognition. Those are important measures of business performance, but they are not the entire purpose. Success is also measured by the people who grow because the company exists, the leaders who are developed within it, the families whose lives are changed through opportunity, and the organization that those individuals continue building together.
